10 Months Old!

Let the crawling begin!
So, Big Kid is on the move.....and so begins the constant dashes across the room to stop him from playing in the dog dish or crawling under the desk to get the power strip. So happy it has finally happened, but phew! it can make you tired! He loves pulling himself up on everything. Thankfully there does not seem to be a shortage of toys to do this on. He has taken many falls, but is quite used to it and doesn't cry any more unless it is a complete face plant.
He has added a few more teeth, and likes to babble and sing.

I included this photo because the weather (at this time) was starting to get warm, so this photo is the dinosaur outfit's last stand. Sawyer is so excited...ha ha.

This month we had the SJJ Titan Hockey end of the season banquet. Here is Sawyer, Kendall and some of our favorite Titans!
Sawyer is geared up for Easter...and Hockey. A match made in heaven.

One of our surprisingly few family pictures.

Awww, Mom...can we stay longer?

Friends, Family, and DISNEY!

Nine Months has come and gone quickly. Here is an update on our last month.
Sawyer's teeth keep sprouting. He loves to grind his teeth....which makes me nuts! He is moving well, and has a partial crawl. He is very good at crawling backwards, but can't seem to figure out forward yet. He loves to pull himself up on things and stand. We had quite a social month. We finally got a change to catch up with our friends the Schuttes. Here are the Schutte kids snuggling with Sawyer bug. Our mutual friend Denny came in from Minnesota and we had a mini Miami reunion. It is always so great to catch up with good friends.

We had a family birthday party and cousins Reece and Sawyer were able to play.
Emmerson's third birthday was a hoot. This is Sawyer, Lola and Kendall...all good friends born within 6 weeks of each other.
The future Mrs. Szynkowski =)

Florida!

We started our trip to Orlando by staying with our college friend Craig. He has this great house and a boat with lake access. He and his girlfriend Nicole took us out on a tour of the lake and showed us how amazing it is to live in a warm weather climate. We also were fortunate enough to visit with Scott and Sarah Barker, other college friends who live in Orlando. Scott took Jason fishing twice and he was in hog heaven. We loved it so much that we are seriously entertaining the idea of living in Fl.

The entire motivation to go to Orlando was my sister Meredith's idea. She has been anticipating the Harry Potter exhibit at Universal for years. So the Wheelis, Szynkowski and Thompson family joined in together on what proved to be a wonderful time.

These boys are the cutest cousins ever!

Patrick (8), Brady (4) and Sawyer (9 months)

Three Broomsticks!

This was one of our favorite parts about the exhibit. The food was great. They had butter beer, pumpkin juice, and real actual lagers available it this realistic setting.

Hogwarts Express!

Just before we left...we got this great pic of the whole family.
We took a day trip to Cocoa Beach for some sun and fun. We stopped at this yummy restaurant Grills in the shipping district. It had delicious food like fish tacos, shrimp and more.

I have a few hundred other photos from the trip, but could not post them all. My brother in law Kevin also just got a fabulous Cannon and turned me on to some new photography techniqes I hope to try. We will see if the photo bug in in my blood.

Eight is Great!

So here we are...eight months already. I can't believe it. Every day Sawyer is learning new skills and making our lives better. He still is not a good sleeper....but otherwise is cake.
We continue to try new foods including guacamole, hummus and of course Cheeze-Its. We went to the Beirut the other day and gave him a bite of hummus and he instantly started clapping and shouted. We egged him on by saying together Yay hummus and he clapped and shouted some more. I was worried we were too loud but the woman at the next table leaned over and said to Sawyer "I feel the same way...it is so delicious." Ha ha!
He broke his second tooth and chews like gangbusters on everything. Sawyer continues to LOVE watching sports and as seen here above..loves all thing electronic.
Photos of him playing

We love to read!

Winter Blast!
We were hit with a pretty bad winter storm and lost power. Here is Sawyer snuggling with Daddy to keep warm. We ended up staying papa and nana's house until our power came back on. My office was closed for 4 days, and of course Jason did not have school.
Here are a few of the photos I snapped.

The many faces of Sawyer

Getting ready for Florida!

Stay tuned for next month for our Florida trip. Sawyer was trying on his hat and sunglasses thinking of warmer weather.
