FALL 2011 UPDATE, A LITTLE LATE

I am not going to make excuses, but life got a little hectic for a while. We bought a house in the middle of hockey season, tried to do a self renovation, and quickly realized it would not work. My dad and Terri graciously let us move in with them....what started off as a few days, ended up being 6 weeks. Whew. I lost a little time and was horrible about taking pictures and obviously updating the blog.
So, to back track a bit...here are some pictures of the fall. We went to Gust Brothers for our annual pumpkin picking and wildlife fun. Sawyer has started to talk but not that much. He is growing fast and so much fun.
This photo is from a quick trip to Wildwood park with Grandma.
My pumpkin carving dorkiness comes out.
Sawyer hated his costume, but he looked soooo cute. Here he is with Kendall. She looks thrilled too,

At the beginning of the fall/end of summer, we ended up having an unfortunate family reunion with the passing of my Grandmother Fran Thompson. Meredith happened to be in town already for her class reunion. It was really nice to get everyone together. I don't think that all of the cousins have been in the same room since Cory and Gina's wedding. Grandma was dealt a long course of Alzheimer's. She was a very wonderful, loving person and I miss her greatly.

Everyone together Finally!

We also had a really fun but very cold camping trip to Northern Michigan with our friends Bobby and Andrea. I did not take my camera but we hiked in the woods, watched Wisconsin basketball at a local restaurant called Hobos, and tried not to freeze our butts off. The weather got down into the 30s at night. We rented a cabin that had a heater, but enjoyed the campfire and smores.
